VISITOR INFORMATION - SOCIETY PACKAGES

Play the second oldest course in South Wales - the 'Birthplace of the Stableford Scoring System'.

  • Societies - minimum of 12 golfers per group
  • Society days are normally Thursdays and Fridays except Bank Holidays but small groups may be taken on other days when tee-times are available. See below for starting times.
  • Society Green Fees:

Per person

- 1st April 2011 – 31st October 2011 : £30

- 1st November 2011 - 30th March 2012: £20

The above rates are current.
  • A deposit of £5 per player is required to secure the booking. In the event of a cancellation, this may be refunded at the discretion of the Club, provided 7 days notice of cancellation is given.
  • Society green fees will be refunded in the event of the course being closed due to inclement weather.
  • All Society members and guests must comply with the Club’s Dress Code.
  • A wide range of set meals, snacks and refreshments are available by arrangement with Ben Gray, our Caterer (Tel: 029 2070 1185 Ext. 5). A selection of sample menus is available.
  • The lounge and dining room, with full bar facilities may be used by Societies for socialising and prize presentations, subject to availability.
  • Our Club Professional will be happy to assist you with any golfing requirements you may have, i.e equipment, repairs etc.
  • Trolleys and refreshments are also available from the Golf Shop
  • Glamorganshire Members are entitled to free Society golf. To avail of this concession their names must be supplied to the Secretary / Manager.
  • Members are not allowed to sign in Society visitors at reduced green fees

Dress Code and House Rules 

In order to save any embarrassment, all Visitors to The Glamorganshire Golf Club are respectfully asked to familiarise themselves with the Club’s Dress Code and House Rules, and to abide by them.

Visiting Group/Society leaders are requested to ensure that all participants are aware of all of the Dress Code and House Rules.

The Glamorganshire Golf Club reserves the right to ask visitors not adhering to leave the course and / or Clubhouse.

TEMPORARY LOCAL RULES

If one of the newly-planted trees between the 12th and 13th fairways interferes with a player’s stance or the area of his/her intended swing, the ball must be lifted without penalty and dropped in accordance with Rule 24-2b(1). The ball may be cleaned when so lifted.

Until further notice, seeded areas on the course must be treated as ‘Ground Under Repair’ and relief taken in accordance with Rule 25-1
 
Note:- Tree stumps are fixed natural objects and the ball must be played as it lies or deem the ball unplayable – Rule 28 applies.
