Supplementary Cards and Congu Handicaps
Players should be aware that in 2010, the Golf Union of Wales has implemented a system that will enable Clubs to ascertain the competitive status of a player’s CONGU Handicap.
Handicaps will be deemed either 'Active' or 'Inactive'.
The next time you check your handicap via the How-Did-I-Do website or at the clubhouse, you may notice a letter 'I' after the handicap.
This is to indicate that your handicap is 'inactive' i.e. you did not return three qualifying cards during 2009.The outcome is that you will not be able to enter the Club's knockout competitions in April or enter any Open Days.
However, all is not lost - you can still submit Supplementary Cards before the end of March. Call at the Pro Shop - pay your £2 entry fee and away you go.
The scores should then be entered via the touch screen in the Gents hallway.

It is now possible to print out your own handicap certificate on your home or office computer. Contact the Secretary/Manager on 029 2070 1185 - 3 (email: manager@glamorganshiregolfclub.co.uk) in the first instance for information on how to set this up.
